Senior Electronics Technician

Hanover, MD / Elkridge, MD Client Opportunities Electrical Engineering Openings Full Time, On-site We are seeking a Senior Electronics Technician to join our dynamic engineering team supporting complex electronics assembly, testing, and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on experience working with PCB assemblies, RF systems, and soldering at the component level. Experience in the DOD or aerospace industry is highly preferred. Assemble, test, and troubleshoot complex electronic assemblies and circuit boards (PCBs) Perform detailed soldering and rework on surface mount and through-hole components under a microscope Diagnose and repair electronic assemblies to the component level using schematics and test equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, spectrum analyzers, etc.) Support RF circuit testing and tuning using RF test equipment Collaborate with engineers on design validation and prototyping efforts Document findings, repairs, and processes in accordance with quality standards and procedures Maintain and calibrate test and measurement equipment as needed Follow industry standards (IPC/J-STD) and safety protocols Minimum 5+ years of hands-on electronics technician experience Strong proficiency in PCB assembly, rework, and component-level troubleshooting Experience with RF circuits and testing tools (signal generators, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers) Proficient in soldering under a microscope; IPC-610/IPC-7711/7721 certifications preferred Ability to read and interpret schematics, assembly drawings, and technical documentation Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and problem-solving skills Familiarity with military or aerospace electronics standards is a plus DOD or Aerospace industry experience preferred Working in an ISO 9001 or AS9100 quality-controlled environment Experience with environmental or vibration testing a plus Familiarity with ESD and cleanroom protocols Associate's degree in Electronics Technology or related field preferred, or equivalent military training and experience $65,000 - $85,000 a year
