Senior Systems Administrator
Location: Hybrid position (remote with limited on-site work as needed - must reside in Iowa). Salary: $115,000 - $125,000 We are seeking a senior systems administrator to join our premier client's dynamic IT team! This critical role involves providing advanced support for on-premises and cloud-based solutions, ensuring systems operate securely, reliably, and efficiently. As the senior systems administrator you'll play a key role in managing infrastructure, monitoring performance, and supporting Microsoft 365 initiatives, all while contributing to a collaborative and learning-focused environment. Responsibilities
Infrastructure support: Configure, maintain, and optimize hardware/software, and ensure compliance with organizational policies. Cloud solutions: Support and enhance Microsoft 365 tools (Teams, SharePoint, Exchange Online, OneDrive, Defender, etc.) and Azure environments. Operational monitoring: Manage system performance tools, proactive alerts, and risk mitigations processes. Leadership: Provide mentorship, facilitate process automation, and contribute to effective cross-functional communication. Customer service: Deliver top-notch support to internal/external users; resolve complex IT issues with professionalism. Quality assurance: Participate in business continuity planning, auditing, and system configuration to ensure exceptional performance and security. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science or 5+ years of equivalent experience in systems administration. Minimum of 3 years' expertise in Microsoft 365 configuration, optimization, and best practices. Proficiency in tools and platforms such as PowerShell scripting, VMware, Microsoft SQL, and networking best practices. Hands-on experience with system software like Apache, Splunk, Tenable, and source code repositories like Git. Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to balance priorities and lead initiatives. Key Competencies
