Network Engineer
The Candidate will be supporting USSTRATCOM at Offutt AFB, NE. USSTRATCOM is a Combatant Command responsible for strategic deterrence, nuclear operations, and enterprise IT services essential to national security. It oversees Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3), Joint Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (JEMSO), Global Strike, and Missile Threat Assessments, working closely with other Combatant Commands, Services, and defense agencies. SCITLS will be a key component that will ensure mission success and the safety. Essential Functions Provides network engineering support for GOC Mission Systems engineering services and RDT&E activities. Provides multi-disciplinary support for mission system services, including life cycle management, engineering, integration, and sustainment of required systems and assured connectivity in the GOC and all other locations within the USSTRATCOM Enterprise. Supports the planning, development, testing, and delivery of holistic IT solutions for GOC Mission Systems. Performs network engineering, supporting all transmission/transport mediums (VPNs, dedicated circuits, broadband, etc.) and working with public carriers and other circuit providers to deliver network services. Follows designated standards and adheres to processes and policies. Provides IT infrastructure-related architecture, engineering, and security support. Provides installation, configuration, administration, O&M, and operational availability support to infrastructure, applications, user desktops, and mission IT capabilities. Supports all related planning, system architecture, installation, configuration, O&M, documentation, engineering, and cybersecurity activities related to network services. Supports the network telecommunications infrastructure to include switches, routers, firewalls, etc. Other duties as assigned Position Requirements Knowledge Skills and Experience: 5+ yrs experience Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field One of FITSP-O, GFACT, CASP+, CCNP Security, CCSP or Security+ Security clearance: Top Secret (SCI eligibility required). Preferred Qualifications: Desired Certifications: ITIL 4 Foundation, Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP); or TOGAF Certified Architect; or ITIL 4 Managing Professional; or Lean Six Sigma Green belt; or Certified Satellite Communications Professional; or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP); or RF and Microwave Engineering Certification by IEEE: or Nuclear Engineering Professional Engineer; or Certified Nuclear Security Professional (CNSP); or Global Command and Control System (GCCS) certification; or GIAC GCIP; or CISSP; or Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE); or Autodesk Certified Professional (ACP) - AutoCAD EOE Statement We are an equal employment opportunity employer.
