Associate Director, Composite Performance

Cambridge Associates is seeking an experienced Associate Director, Composite Performance to lead and oversee the composite performance for the firm's track records. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of performance calculations and GIPS standards, serving as an internal subject matter expert on selecting composites, performance and moving the firm towards adopting GIPS standards. This role requires a strategic thinker that can partner with business stakeholders and external vendors to ensure preparedness and compliance and overseeing the maintenance of all composite-related deliverables. The role can be Director or Associate Director level, based on the candidate's qualifications. Key Responsibilities

Performance: Oversee periodic standard and ad-hoc reporting needs, as well as completing RFP/Questionnaires requests for performance and related data. Provide guidance and expertise on methodology for calculating and analyzing portfolio related statistics including investment performance, fundamental characteristics, and performance attribution. Drive inspection of performance anomalies and corrective actions Provide day-to-day oversight and guidance on composite-related maintenance activities and manage composite-related escalations to ensure timely resolution. Maintain the firm's performance policies and procedures document and internal desktop procedures. Train and mentor junior colleagues to build performance expertise within the team. Develop industry insights through proactive networking, conference attendance, and independent research. Assist with related special projects and vendor selection as needed GIPS: The firm is not currently GIPS compliant but will be pursuing this in the future Serve as the internal subject matter expert on GIPS standards, staying updated on changes, and partnering with business stakeholders and external vendors to ensure compliance. Oversee the maintenance of the GIPS Firm and all composite-related deliverables and vendors. Maintain the firm's GIPS policies and procedures document and internal desktop procedures. Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Finance, Economics, or related field. 10+ years of analyst or operations experience. 2+ years of direct experience in composite maintenance and GIPS verification. Some knowledge/experience in the alternative investment space (private equity, hedge funds, real estate, commodities, venture capital, and structured products) required Advanced technical skills (Excel modeling, data visualization tools) Certificate in Investment Performance Measurement (CIPM) desirable but not required Experience with client performance reporting Knowledge/experience with composite maintenance software and performance systems a plus Demonstrated aptitude for numbers and quantitative proficiency. Comfort with ambiguous and evolving Performance and GIPS landscape. Good analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with a strong attention to detail. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; ability to handle multiple assignments while managing to strict and competing deadlines. The base salary range for this role is $106,000 to $142,000 In addition to the listed salary range, this position is eligible for an annual performance-based bonus and a comprehensive, competitive benefits package. Actual placement within the stated salary range will be determined based on factors such as skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as internal equity.
