Job Description
Oversee all aspects of MEP procurement, budgeting, quality control, safety, engineering coordination, scheduling, installation, commissioning, and close-out Lead daily activities of MEP engineers, superintendents, and support staff Develop and maintain relationships with key project stakeholders to ensure alignment with client goals from project initiation through completion Ensure all MEP work complies with contract documents, specifications, codes, and company standards Supervise and evaluate the performance of MEP staff, contributing to performance appraisals Identify cost-saving alternatives while maintaining or improving system function Manage technical submittals, RFIs, and coordination of shop drawings Ensure site safety and compliance with environmental and occupational health standards MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. The Successful Applicant
Have a Bachelor's degree and at least 10 years of progressive experience managing design, cost, sequencing, logistics, and field installations of mechanical and electrical systems Demonstrate expertise in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, low-voltage, and fire sprinkler systems Exhibit strong leadership skills managing and developing MEP staff, including engineers and superintendents Be skilled at interpreting contract documents, plans, specifications, and applicable codes Possess excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to present technical material clearly Be proficient with Microsoft Office and familiar with project management and scheduling software Preferably hold LEED accreditation and demonstrate the ability to apply innovative technologies to projects Exhibit strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective relationships with engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, and owner representatives Be physically capable of navigating construction sites and performing duties that may require climbing, balancing, lifting, and other physical tasks What's on Offer
