Responsible for designing, implementing, securing, and maintaining network infrastructure to support data, voice, video, and wireless services. Provides hands-on support for routers, switches, firewalls, VMWare NSX, and load balancers while optimizing network performance and security. Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Network Design & Maintenance Configure and manage LAN/WAN environments, VLANs, VPNs, and subnetting. Deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls, access points). Implement and manage Software-Defined Networking (SDN) and SD-WAN solutions. Maintain fiber switches and associated infrastructure. Optimize network performance through monitoring, troubleshooting, and proactive upgrades. Security & Compliance Configure and maintain firewalls (Check Point, Palo Alto, Fortinet). Enforce IT security policies, including access controls and 802.1X authentication. Conduct network security audits and vulnerability assessments. Wireless & Cloud Networking Manage Cisco Meraki wireless access points. Ensure secure and efficient wireless connectivity. Work with virtualized networking environments (VMware NSX, vCenter). Support & Documentation Provide technical support and incident response within SLA guidelines. Document network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides. Collaborate with cross-functional teams for issue resolution. Telecom Support Provide technical support for Unified Cisco Call Manager (UCCM, UCaaS). Proficient in voice and related technology. Troubleshooting circuits and ISP related issues.
