Position: Production PlannerShift: DayPosition Overview:The production planner scheduler coordinates and expedites the flow of work and materials within or between departments according to daily and weekly production schedules. Must have knowledge of each stage of the production process to effectively organize and execute a job plan that will keep production running on schedule.Job Responsibilities: Interacts with Project Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, and Manufacturing Engineering groups to manage and track Sales orders through the Planning processMonitor Production progress and provide notification as required when adjustments are needed to support on-time deliveryReview and Release Production orders based on MRP recommendations while maintaining a constant Department workloadMonitor the Work Center Queue to ensure that all the criteria for released jobs are properly reflecting the production orders going thru various manufacturing departmentsAttend daily production meetings and provide input as required for proper sequencing and execution of production ordersCoordinate with Production Managers/Supervisors to maximize resource utilizationAnalyze various Planning reports and work with Manufacturing Departments to fix and correct errors that would keep production orders from progressingWork in conjunction with the Warehouse Department to ensure that orders are getting to Assembly in a timely mannerReview, modify, and print Production routers to best reflect what's running on the production floorMay perform any other work-related functions as deemed necessary and appropriate by immediate supervisorSkills & Abilities:Ability to work in a team-oriented environment that is fast paced and demandingMust be self-directed, have excellent initiative, and organizational skillsExhibits a strong ability to handle multiple demands with a sense of urgency, drive, and energyWorks well meeting multiple deadlines with the ability to deliver on timeAble to perform this job's duties with or without reasonable accommodationsAbility to work with all levels of employees, management, customers, vendors and distributorsMust have experience with and comfortable performing problem/conflict resolutionProficient in MS Office Suite specifically MS Excel, and experience with ERP/MRP systemsAbility to work in a team-oriented environment that is fast paced and demandingMust be self-directed, have excellent initiative and organizational skillsExhibits a strong ability to handle multiple demands with a sense of urgency, drive and energyWorks well meeting multiple deadlines with the ability to deliver on timeStrong analytical and decision-making abilityExcellent written and verbal communications skillsCore Qualifications:Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain Management or 3 years Manufacturing experience in Production Planning in Lieu of degree3-5 years' experience in manufacturing, production planning, production control & working with BOM's and routings preferredKnowledge and understanding of manufacturing processes, planning, shop floor control and job costing Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
