IT Business Analyst ERP (Controlled Data)

The IT Business Analyst ERP (Controlled Data) will work closely with business stakeholders to understand current business processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and drive the execution of enhancements. This role requires a diverse skill set with a strong grasp of end-to-end business processes and the ability to navigate Application Software, Master Data Management (MDM), and other IT-related initiatives. The candidate will elicit and document detailed requirements, collaborate with development teams for implementation, support testing efforts, and occasionally take on Project Management (PM) responsibilities as needed. This role will report to the IT Director responsible for the ITAR Business units, working closely with business and IT teams to drive process improvements, design process models, system enhancements, and data management initiatives. General Responsibilities

Establish and implement IT solutions aligned to operational policies, procedures, and best practices, ensuring compliance with security standards and regulatory requirements. Interact with product, engineering & business teams to capture and understand unique business needs and translate them into actionable requirements. Participate in system implementations, including the migration of legacy systems into Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) and other enterprise applications. Conduct workshops, interviews, and process mapping exercises to capture nuances in current workflows. Analyze process issues and bottlenecks to identify and document potential improvements, including automation opportunities. Provide thought leadership and guidance on best practices in digital transformation. Write clear and well-structured business requirements and validate them with relevant stakeholders. Collaborate cross functionally with Business Partners, and other IT stakeholders including Solution Delivery Managers, Infrastructure, and Application Support teams to support implementations, resolve system gaps, and improve business process alignment. Support Master Data Management (MDM) initiatives by ensuring accurate and standardized data across ERP solutions and business units. Assist with project management activities, including planning, tracking, and execution of small to medium-sized projects. Develop clear requirements traceability and test plans to facilitate system and user acceptance testing. Negotiate agreements and commitments by facilitating communication between business unit(s) and IT. Assist in business process redesign and documentation for new and existing technology solutions. Conduct prototypes, data modeling, data mapping, function mapping, configuration setup, and transaction/control table management. Support security/authorization setup, user documentation, data interface design, data migration, and reconciliation. Experience / Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience in data, technology, software, or science-related industries. Strong business analysis and process improvement experience, preferably within infrastructure, applications, and data management environments. Proven ability to work across multiple domains, including ERP, cloud applications, security, data governance, and integration projects. Technical understanding of IT systems and ability to translate business needs into IT solutions. Strong ability to elicit, document, and communicate complex requirements effectively. Experience supporting Master Data Management (MDM) efforts and ensuring proper governance. Familiarity with infrastructure technology, including networks, servers, and security best practices. Some experience with project management methodologies. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of working with cross-functional teams. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously in a dynamic environment. Experience with ERP solutions, particularly in Finance, Supply Chain, or Manufacturing modules. Experience with JD Edwards in Windows and SQL Server environments. Understand JDE integration methodology and can understand and troubleshoot issues as they arise. Experience with OBIEE (Oracle Business Intelligence Suite Enterprise Edition) or Oracle Analytics Cloud reporting. Familiarity with cloud-based enterprise applications. Background in data integration, API management, and automation tools. Strong understanding of IT infrastructure components and how they support business applications. Light scripting/programming capabilities for automation and analysis purposes. Any relevant certifications in Business Analysis (CBAP), Project Management (PMP, PMI-ACP), or ITIL. This position will be subject to U.S. export control requirements under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Employment is contingent on either verifying the U.S. Person status or obtaining any necessary export license.
