Seasonal Sanitation Technician Position
Position Summary: Reporting to the Sanitation Lead, the seasonal sanitation technician will be responsible for daily and weekly sanitation tasks and activities within the department. The sanitation technician should act proactively to ensure smooth and effective operations and report issues to leadership immediately. Position Responsibilities: Work independently. Read and interpret safety instructions and procedure manuals. Walk and stand up to 10 hours per day, occasionally push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds. Be dependable, a team player and have good communication skills. Wear PPE specific to position. Clean and sanitize processing/packaging equipment, floors, walls, ceiling and work areas. Frequently stand, walk, lift, carry, push, pull up to 50 pounds. Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. Knowledge of quality standards and sanitation procedures. Handling and preparing cleaning chemicals, sanitizers and chemical concentrations. Disassemble, sanitize and reassemble food processing equipment. Dispose of waste inside and outside plant. Sweep, squeegee and mop floors. Follow all safety rules and regulations. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements: At least 18 years of age. 1-3 months experience in a food manufacturing facility preferred. High School Diploma or equivalency preferred. Pay: $19.75 per hour, depending on experience. Shifts: Day - 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Swing - 3:00 p.m. - 11:30 p.m. Grave - 11:00 p.m. - 7:30 a.m. Rotation - Monday day shift, Tuesday & Wednesday swing shift, Thurs & Friday grave shift.
