Information Technology Specialist

shall provide Tier One and Two support for AFFOR IT requests and resolve technology issues in an expedient manner. AFFOR requires support for approximately 500 Network Users, 1,000 NIPR/SIPR workstations, 1,000 VoIP and VoSIP phones, and 200 printers. Responsibilities Take full ownership responsibilities of the resolution process from the initial contact with the User to resolution of the Incident, Problem, or Service Request. Assume responsibility for Incident, Problem, and Service Request resolution, regardless of the party performing the work, including external organizations, while tracking and documenting the resolution process. Support projects associated with making incremental changes to operational artifacts in response to governance, industry, or customer requirements. Follow-up on resolved tickets to check quality, obtain user concurrence of ticket closure, and report customer satisfaction. Work with operational and other teams to ensure final summaries, reviews, analysis, resolution, and lessons learned are documented in Incident Reports for major incidents and outages, submitted in writing to 1 AF/A6 management and the COR within seven days. Establish and maintain data in the 1 AF/A6 error tracking database daily; document workarounds and generate known error sub-processes for quicker diagnosis and resolution. Engage in 100% of Service Desk calls, incidents, and workflows to immediately identify, prioritize, and address performance issues impacting service delivery. Ensure 100% of non-IT requests are properly routed to appropriate support organizations. Support projects related to operational artifact changes due to governance, industry, or customer needs, including account sponsorship for new user documentation, training, access, and orientation. Review user paperwork for 100% accuracy and submit to 101 ACOMS CFP within 48 hours of initiation. Qualifications Ability to analyze complex data and situations, providing clear, actionable insights. Strong problem identification, critical thinking, and effective solution implementation skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills for conveying ideas to technical and non-technical audiences. Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize, and meet deadlines. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in teams or cross-functional environments. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Minimum Qualifications: 3 to 5 years of experience with installing and upgrading network infrastructure, software, security patches, and equipment using management tools such as WSUS, SCCM, and ADUC. Compliance with DoD Directive 8410 IAT Level II requirements for privileged network access. US citizen. Must have a Secret clearance.
