3 weeks ago Be among the first 25 applicants Job Title: Network Administrator Assistant Location: New Orleans, LA Department: Office of IT Employment Type: Full-Time Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented Network Administrator Assistant to support our IT team in maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing network systems. The ideal candidate will assist in daily network operations, ensuring seamless connectivity and security across our infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: Assist in monitoring and managing network performance and security Support the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network hardware and software Troubleshoot network issues and provide technical support to end-users Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations and changes Collaborate with IT staff on network upgrades and projects Assist in implementing network security measures Respond promptly to network outages and service disruptions Qualifications: Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Bachelor's preferred) Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs) Experience with network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls) is a plus Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Relevant certifications (CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA) are advantageous Benefits: $42,000 per year with increase to $45,000 after 12 months if candidate is determined to be a good fit.
