Job DescriptionMorgan Hunter is looking for a QA resource for a valued client. This role is contract-for-hire and in the office Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. In this role you will have the opportunity to work with cutting edge technology.Responsibilities Develop, execute, and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for our four software products. Perform manual and automated testing (functional, regression, integration, and performance) to identify defects and ensure product quality. Collaborate with developers, product managers, and designers in a team setting to understand requirements and provide feedback on product functionality. Identify, document, and track bugs using tools like Jira or similar, ensuring clear communication with the development team. Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, including the adoption of automation tools and frameworks. Conduct exploratory testing to uncover edge cases and usability issues. Ensure cross-browser, cross-platform, and mobile compatibility for web and mobile applications. Participate in agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives) to align testing efforts with development cycles. Provide detailed reports on test coverage, defect metrics, and product quality to stakeholders. Qualifications Experience: 3+ years of QA testing experience in software development, preferably in a small or mid-sized IT organization. Technical Skills: Proficiency in manual testing and familiarity with automation tools (e.G., Selenium, Cypress, or similar). Familiarity with bringing some automation to bear using existing popular toolsets. Experience with bug-tracking tools (e.G., Jira, Bugzilla) and test management tools (e.G., TestRail, Zephyr). Basic understanding of programming/scripting (e.G., Python, JavaScript, or Java) for automation purposes. Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.G., Jenkins, GitLab) is a plus. Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively in a small, cross-functional team. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Nice-to-Haves: Experience testing web and mobile applications across multiple platforms. Familiarity with agile methodologies and working in small teams. Certifications like ISTQB Foundation Level or similar.
