Volunteer: Social Media Coordinator
Nashville Public Radio, Columbus, Ohio, United States, 43224
Our mission is to create a positive impact for animals in Ohio! We do this through various programs and initiatives, including our annual Tackle Pet Hunger community pet food drive, education and outreach events, and our grant program supporting Ohio nonprofit organizations dedicated to animal welfare.
Through these programs, we have reached countless people in Ohio with our message of responsible pet ownership and appreciation for animals. Tackle Pet Hunger has distributed over 48,000 pounds of pet food to organizations that keep pets in homes and out of shelters. Our grant program has invested over $9,000 in initiatives like low-cost spay/neuter, feral cat programs, rescue and shelter services, and wildlife protection. Our monthly newsletter, Ohio Animal Connection, provides insights and action items to encourage advocacy for animals.
Ohio Animal Foundation is seeking creative and detail-oriented volunteers for our social media team. This team manages our social media presence to increase awareness and involvement.
Key responsibilities include:
Create relevant and engaging social media content independently or with other volunteers. Engage with followers, connections, and partners through social media. Post content regularly across social media outlets. Monitor growth and engagement, providing feedback to the Executive Director/Marketing team. Adjust strategies for continued success and improvement. Applicants should be familiar with social media platforms, especially Facebook and Instagram. Creative insights are encouraged. Ability to work well with others and participate in occasional virtual meetings is required. This is a volunteer opportunity provided by VolunteerMatch, in partnership with LinkedIn for Good. #J-18808-Ljbffr
