Nikon Metrology JOB PURPOSE:

Nikon Metrology is seeking an experienced IT Manager responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the companys IT infrastructure across multiple local sites. This includes maintaining network systems, managing servers, ensuring cybersecurity, and providing technical support to staff. The role is critical in ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and security of IT services that support business operations. JOB PURPOSE:

Nikon Metrology is seeking an experienced IT Manager responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the companys IT infrastructure across multiple local sites. This includes maintaining network systems, managing servers, ensuring cybersecurity, and providing technical support to staff. The role is critical in ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and security of IT services that support business operations.

LOCATION:

Corporate HQ Brighton, MI (Onsite)

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

Will include, but not limited to the following:

Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, connection, printer and software issues reported to the service desk Manage the configuration and operation of client-based computer operating systems Update network applications as required Maintain daily backup and off-site backup storage Troubleshoot and resolve all problems encountered with hardware and software. Escalate requests to the appropriate party, as needed. Replace or repair defective parts and equipment. Administrate infrastructure, including firewalls, databases, malware protection software and other processes Maintain and expand knowledge base in area of expertise Attend courses to develop and keep skills and knowledge current Increase efficiencies, technical ability and interpersonal skills Perform routine server monitoring and performance benchmarking Monitor and remove viruses, spyware, and other non-authorized software Support CMMC initiatives Complete special projects as requested

ANCILLARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist in support activities by the IT team Partner and collaborate with the business

QUALIFICATIONS:

ESSENTIAL:

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Full professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken, is required. This is essential for effectively communicating with internal stakeholders, interpreting technical documentation, and preparing reports and documentation that support IT operations across multiple sites. Minimum of two (2) to four (4) years prior experience with providing workstation support The ability to prioritize, be attentive to details, maintain confidentiality, and provide exceptional client service required Strong knowledge of network administration, server management, and cybersecurity. Demonstrated communication, interpersonal, organizational, analytical, problem-solving and computer skills required. A sense of urgency and a commitment to the timely completion of projects. Attention to detail along with commitment to quality and confidentiality

Certificates, License, Registration:

Associates degree in Computer Technology, or related field.

DESIRABLE:

Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Certifications such as MCSE preferred

FUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIES:

Windows: Windows 10 and 11, windows server 2016, 2019 and 2022 Active Directory Microsoft Office 365 and other common desktop applications Remote control tools such as TeamViewer and RDP Basic networking skills including TCP/IP and the ability to configure network printers, routers, switches, firewalls Awareness of all mainstream mobile technologies (Apple) 1st and 2nd Line support experience Cybersecurity experience/exposure a plus Experience supporting and maintaining an asset database

WORKING ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Travel to other NM locations will vary based on projects This role may involve working in server rooms or technical environments with controlled temperatures and noise from equipment. Standard business hours apply, but occasional evening or weekend work may be required for system upgrades, maintenance, or emergency support. Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods while working at a computer. Occasional lifting of equipment (up to 25 pounds) such as servers, monitors, or networking hardware. Manual dexterity required for using tools, keyboards, and other IT equipment.
