Wire and build electrical control panels, junction boxes and subassemblies per customer requirement.Read and interpret schematics, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, bills of material.Drill or tap holes to mount control units or to provide openings for components, wiring, or instruments.Utilize a variety of small hand tools such as wire strippers, crimpers, wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliers.Complete point-to-point wiring, and install a wide variety of electronic components including PLCs, relays, lights, switches, etc.Red-line documentation as necessary to initiate ECOs through Engineering.Perform operations such as deburring, grinding & sawing. Operate hand pallet jacks to move material within plant.Install finished assemblies or subassemblies in cases and cabinets.Willingness to work overtime as needed.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEMinimum of a High School Education.Technical Certificate in Electrical Controls is desired2+ years' experience in control panel building, wiring, reading schematics and electrical diagrams. An understanding of electrical currents.Highly motivated, detail oriented and able to work independently as well as in a team environment.Mechanical installation and electrical wiring for control panels and desks.Experience using hand tools to drill, tap, and assemble electrical panel is a must.PHYSICAL DEMANDSWork involves frequent lifting of materials and product up to 30 pounds. Frequent use of hand tools. Long periods of standing.WORKING CONDITIONSWorking conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to, eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, safety shoes, and hardhats. Loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted.SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIESSafety shoes are always required throughout the manufacturing plant. Certifications as necessary based on function; lock out/tag out, fork truck certification. Other personal protective equipment as required for drilling, tapping, deburring, cutting, testing, lifting, and moving equipment.
