Student Intermediate Level Requisition IDreq33935 Working TitleStudent Business Operations Assistant Pay$14.50 Hourly CampusMain - Albuquerque, NM DepartmentParking Transportation Gen Admin (314B) Employment TypeStudent Employment Student TypeStudent Employment StatusNon-Exempt Background Check RequiredFor Best Consideration Date7/28/2025 Position SummaryThe Student Business Operations Assistant plays a key role in supporting UNM Parking & TransportationServices' daily operations by assisting with building and maintaining studentemployee schedules, tracking time and attendance, arranging backup coverage,and preparing usage and performance reports for a designated posts or positions.This role requires excellent communication and a high level of responsibility,attention to detail, and reliability.KeyResponsibilities:Assist the supervisor in developing monthly student work schedules and managing weekly updates to ensure full coverage for assigned posts (e.g., Bike Valet, TIC, event posts).Coordinate shift coverage for callouts, absences, or last-minute schedule changes.Serve as a backup and personally cover posts when needed to maintain operations.Ensure accurate tracking of student employee work hours at designated posts.Generate and maintain usage, attendance, and performance reports for each assigned post or duty (e.g., Bike Valet, event post coverage, TIC, etc.).Communicate regularly with student employees to confirm schedules, shift changes, and expectations.Report recurring scheduling gaps or performance concerns promptly to the supervisor.Support recruitment and retention efforts by helping identify staffing needs, assisting with onboarding new student employees, and fostering a positive team environment.Perform other related duties as assigned. Minimum QualificationsEquivalencies not found for this positionPreferred Qualifications MinimumQualifications:Must be a current UNM student enrolled in at least 6 credit hours in a degree seeking program.Strong organizational and communication skills.Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment.Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (or Google Sheets) or scheduling/reporting tools.Must always maintain confidentiality and professionalism.PreferredQualifications:Work-study awardPrior experience scheduling, coordinating, or leading peersFamiliarity with UNM campus and transportation services.
