Description
The Dietary Aide-Server is responsible for serving food in accordance with federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations with Frontline Management established policies and procedures.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBLITY: Perform defined work routines, using various dietary utensils, supplies, and equipment as assigned. Assist the cook in preparation and service of meals. Meet scheduled meal and snack times. Follow Federal, State, department policies and procedures according to long-term care regulations. Follow cleaning schedule and perform cleaning duties. Assist in arranging tray cards, loading food carts, and serving meals. Set up dining room and serve residents. Wash and store dishes. Report supply or equipment needs. Report damaged or loose fixtures, flooring, or tilting requiring replacement or repair. Report unsafe or malfunctioning equipment. Report conditions conductive to breeding insects, rodents, or other vermin. Assist in receiving and storing foods and supplies. Attend in-service educational programs. Follow safety codes while performing all duties. Follow Infection Control procedures. Understand fire and disaster plans. Follow established procedures during drills and actual emergencies. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Previous institutional dietary service experience preferred. Ability to follow recipe directions, diet orders, tray cards, and work assignments. Proper measuring of cleaning agents and chemicals. PHYSICAL DEMAND:
Walking, standing, reaching, stooping, bending, lifting, carry Work with chemicals and cleaning agents. Lift, carry up to 75 pounds.
