We have an immediate, full-time need for a skilled, energetic, and driven Senior Software Developer. Agile5 Technologies is seeking an experienced Software Developer to design, create, and modify computer applications and specialized utility programs based on user needs. This role involves analyzing software requirements, designing databases, and potentially developing operating systems-level or embedded software while applying principles of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis. The ideal candidate will leverage comprehensive technical knowledge to plan and lead major assignments, evaluate performance, and recommend changes to ensure project growth and success. Senior Software Developer Job Duties: Develops, creates, and modifies general computer applications software or specialized utility programs. Analyzes user needs and develops comprehensive software solutions. Designs or customizes software for client use with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency. Analyzes and designs databases within an application area, working individually or coordinating database development as part of a team. Researches, designs, develops, and tests operating systems-level software, compilers, and network distribution software for various computing applications. Sets operational specifications and formulates and analyzes software requirements. Designs embedded systems software. Applies principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis. Possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high-impact assignments. Plans and leads major technology assignments. Evaluates performance results and recommends major changes affecting short-term project growth and success. Functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments. May supervise others. Security Clearance Requirements: Active DoD Secret (S) required. Candidates must already possess this clearance level upon applying. Experience Requirements: Requires a Bachelors Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience), along with 8-12 years of prior relevant experience (or a Masters with 6-10 years). Candidates must be able to work well within a small team environment and possess strong communication skills. Education Requirements: Bachelors Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems Management, other related discipline, or equivalent experience; additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Desired Skills / Qualifications: Oracle Certified Professional, SAFe certifications, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional and/or Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert, Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP) certifications preferred. A strong foundation in software product development and an understanding of Agile methodologies. The ideal individual will have experience using software development tools like JIRA and Confluence, knowledge of SAFe frameworks, and familiarity with source control tools such as GIT. Location: Remote Status: Full time Schedule: Day shift, Monday-Friday Physical Requirements: Must be able to remain in a stationary position for long durations of time.
