We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Kansas City, Missouri. This role involves managing key financial operations, including invoice matching, credit card reconciliations, and expense reporting. As a contract-to-permanent position, this opportunity offers the potential for long-term growth within the organization. Responsibilities: Review and match invoices to purchase orders with accuracy and timeliness. Perform credit card reconciliations to ensure proper documentation and reporting. Process and verify employee expense reports, adhering to company policies. Utilize Excel functions such as pivot tables and VLOOKUP to analyze and organize financial data. Collaborate with team members to resolve discrepancies and maintain accurate records. Assist in managing and processing accounts payable transactions efficiently. Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial regulations. Provide support in using expense management tools like Concur. Communicate with vendors and internal stakeholders to address payment inquiries. Requirements: Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts payable or related financial roles. Proficiency in Excel, including advanced functions such as pivot tables and VLOOKUP. Familiarity with credit card reconciliation and expense reporting processes. Experience using expense management software, such as Concur, is preferred. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Excellent communication skills for interacting with vendors and colleagues. Willingness to learn and adapt to new systems and processes.
