Sanitation Technician I- Night/Weekend Shift

3rd Shift Nights/Weekends Position
Schedule: 8:00PM - 4:00AM (M-F) and 5:30PM - 5:30AM (Sat-Sun) LOTS OF OVERTIME!!
Job Summary
Follows procedures and SOPs to perform cleaning on production equipment to ensure safety and hygiene. May record information to reflect sanitation activities and issues. Advises/updates supervisor/manager of progress and or other non-routine issues.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Duties may include, but are not limited to the following:
Disassemble and reassemble critical equipment and pumps Understand equipment instructions, manuals, specifications, and safety requirements Read instruments and record all required data Maintain cleanliness of all work areas Remove trash and debris Additional duties as assigned Clean and sanitize the following areas:
Production areas Packaging areas Walls and Ceilings All equipment including elevated conveyors Exterior plant area as needed Perform food safety and quality testing including:
Titration levels APC Swabs Allergen testing LRN Swabs After training safely operate:
Floor scrubber Pallet Jacks Boom lift Scissor lift
Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; at least six months experience in a sanitation production environment preferred.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
Manufacturing environment - exposure to a variety of machines, noise levels, and varying temperatures.
Depending on which location, our environments can be very warm or refrigerated.
Team environment - must be able to work well with others and communicate in a respectful and professional manner.
Ability to stand up to 80% of the time scheduled
Ability to lift 40 lbs. unassisted and 40-75 lbs. assisted.
