Network Design Engineer

We are hiring for a Network Design Engineer to join a rapidly growing ISP investing over $350M to build a 100% fiber-optic network across Hudson Valley and beyond. The ideal candidate will lead core network, PON, and transport design initiatives as they scale across multiple states. Responsibilities Design and scale a multi-state, 100% fiber-optic network from the ground up. Lead backbone, PON (XGS-PON/AE), and IP/MPLS transport network architecture. Manage high-performance routing using BGP, OSPF, Segment Routing, and VRFs. Support deployment across data centers, PoPs, and enterprise customer sites Collaborate with cross-functional teams to automate provisioning and reduce touchpoints. Optimize network resiliency using QoS, traffic shaping, and redundancy design. Implement secure, carrier-grade solutions including firewall and VPN integration. Join a privately funded ISP investing $350M+ to bring next-gen connectivity to underserved communities.
