JOB SUMMARY
The Shipper-Packer is responsible for the processing all daily shipping activities and ensures the timely delivery of shipments.
REPORTING TO
Warehouse Manager
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Verifies products prior to packaging and follows packaging instructions. Prepares items for shipment, including completing shipping notices, bills of lading and any other required documents. Able to ship international shipments. Determines shipping priorities, work assignments and shipping methods to meet shipping schedules, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates. Ensures accuracy, completeness, and condition of outgoing shipments. Packages product according to work instructions. SKILLS and ABILITIES
Strong communicator. Solid interpersonal skills. Ability to multi-task. Works well under pressure. Computer literate. MS Office knowledge. EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma/GED. Experience with UPS and FedEx shipping software. 2-3 years of experience working in a manufacturing shipping or warehouse department. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Move/lift/carry up to 35 pounds with assistance from lifting equipment. Stand up to 6+ hours per day. Ability to stoop and bend.
