Teledyne Controls has an exciting opportunity for an
Electronic Technician
to join our Customer Repair Group located in
El Segundo, CA . Under general supervision, this position is responsible for ensuring compliance with FAA regulations for Part 145 repair shop by inspecting, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment used on aircraft. Key Functions
Accurately troubleshooting faults in electronic circuits and mechanical systems using various types of test equipment such as Special Test Equipment (STE), Automated Test Equipment (ATE), data analyzers, microprocessors emulators, circuit testers, oscilloscopes, and multi-meters. Perform maintenance, preventative maintenance, and modifications to avionics equipment. Perform preliminary analyses, alignments, light to moderate troubleshooting, repair, and testing of electronics at a level that meets or exceeds the expected productivity. Comply with all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations, ISO procedures, and Teledyne Controls policies and procedures. Inspect all assigned maintenance articles and replacement materials for defects and proper identification. Perform repair rework using solder equipment to acceptable IPC J-STD specifications as needed. Requirements
Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year accredited school in aviation electronics or related field, with 2-5 years of Electronic Technician experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Mandate to participate in FAA Anti-Drug and Alcohol testing in compliance with 49 CFR part 40 and 14 CFR part 120. Ability to troubleshoot to board/component level analog/digital with some assistance. Ability to read and interpret production illustrations (PI), component maintenance manual (CMM), wiring diagrams, and schematics. Proficiency in reading, speaking, writing, and understanding English (FAA requirement). Must be a "US Person" (US Citizens, US Nationals, lawful permanent residents, asylees, or refugees). Preferred
Recent IPC-J-STD-001 soldering certification preferred. Understanding of FAA regulations preferred. This is an FAA Safety Sensitive position requiring new hires to pass pre-employment FAA Drug screening. Employees will be subject to random FAA Drug and Alcohol testing throughout employment. $42,800.00 - $57,100.00 Pay Transparency
