Required Skills:
Advanced knowledge of DevOps: Git-based source control, software tools and builds, artifact storage, CI/CD pipelines, static and dynamic code scanning tools, runtime environments, and deployments.
Advanced familiarity with Azure and general experience in one or more other major Cloud Service Provider platforms: Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, or others. This includes major IaaS and PaaS offerings around compute, storage, networking, database, and other managed services.
Ability to break down high-level business requirements into project-level scopes, then design, document, and implement cloud and DevOps solutions that meet these requirements.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be comfortable with customers, with other engineers, with sales, and with executives.
Awareness of cloud-native event-driven solution architectures.
Ability to create clear, concise, andthorough documentation for both internal and customer-facing use cases.
Ability to quickly learn complex new or existing technologies and patterns, to evaluate their utility, and formulate and communicate appropriate recommendations for architects and managers.
Proficiency in generating and presenting architectural drawings.
Experience with Agile Project Management, Scrum processes, and operating in a geographically distributed project environment.
Demonstrated proficiency in scripting with Bash, PowerShell, Python or other languages
Proficiency in building, storing, and running containerized workloads. Must have familiarity with Docker, as well as how container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes, docker-compose,or serverless container workloads function.
Experience with Terraform / OpenTofu or Bicep
Self-starter with a passion for continuous learning and personal development
Experience in applying security baselines and patches to cloud based systems
Activities:
Administer and automate all aspects of our Azure and Office365 cloud tools and workloads RegScale SaaS platform, lab environments, DevOps including using Infrastructure as code.
System administration tasks for Azure infrastructure including monitoring, patching, user management, and securing applications
Command line and SSH access into our Azure environment to manage cloud-based systems
Design and build solutions that power our DevOps monitoring, networking, and security programs.
Maintain DevOps pipelines: adding new functionality and integrations, plus troubleshooting.
Maintain and administer our Logging and Monitoring environments including dashboards and alerts.
Continuously improve the installation, configuration, and deployment processes to make RegScale installs more efficient and repeatable over time
Support the RegScale Cyber Security team by implementing required architecture components and policies, responding to incidents, and providing required compliance artifacts.
Interface with the development team to support changes, upgrades, enhancements, and new features in the RegScale product runtime or pipelines.
Periodically review cloud invoices to ensure cost efficiency and recommend ways to be more cost efficient.
Work with the Data team to build and maintain our data analytics architecture.
Administer and maintain our cloud-based backup, retention, and disaster recovery tools.
Develop and troubleshoot Dockerfiles, deploy containers to our registries, and assist with patching containers

Education/Training, Qualifications, and Certification:
Minimum of seven years experience as a Cloud, DevOps, or Systems Engineer or a Bachelors Degree and 4+ years of experience
Desired certifications:
Azure Cloud, Kubernetes, and/or DevOps engineering and architecture, including Infrastructure as Code Scrum or Project Management
