Paragon develops and produces innovative solutions for the most demanding life support and thermal control challenges in the space and defense markets. Whether it is deep space, low earth orbit, undersea, or on the ground, our systems and hardware provides safe and comfortable environments for astronauts, explorers, military personnel, and unmanned space and terrestrial vehicles.
Summary of Position:
As a Quality Inspector, you will work hands-on in a production setting and utilize lean manufacturing concepts to assess products, processes, mechanical, electro-mechanical, and bio-tech systems.
Inspect product from production, suppliers, or other Paragon sites to validate workmanship, measured dimensions and Quality System documentation that conforms to product requirements.
Accountable ownership to the non-conforming documentation process for hardware that does not meet product specifications or compliance requirements
Facilitate the disposition of parts non-conforming to inspection plans or program requirements
Support other areas of Quality as required
Required skills:
Ability to interpret product specifications, GD&T measurement requirements to drawings/blueprints and engineering documents
Able to use calibrated inspection and precision measurement equipment to validate dimensions or features
Basic Computer/MS Office skills
Effective written and communication skills
Work independently/self-motivated, with the ability to collaborate as part of a functional team
Strong understanding of Geometric-Dimensioning & Tolerancing specification ASME Y14.5
Preference is 5 years minimum of aerospace inspection experience, certification to an industry standard is an acceptable equivalent
Familiarity with AS9100 standards and practices
Application of Critical thinking, practical problem solving and Root Cause Analysis skills
Capable of working in a fast-paced and collaborative environment
Desired Skills:
Knowledge of SAP or other ERP software
PCDMIS experience
Ability to program ROMER ARM CMM utilizing PCDMIS
Experience working in aerospace, spacecraft, or missile production
Specific aerospace inspection, control of nonconformity and First Article Inspection
Familiarity or certification to American Society of Quality standards
