Senior Test Automation Engineer

The Senior Test Automation Engineer will lead the design and execution of scalable automation strategies across both enterprise platforms and custom-built applications. This role is critical to driving product quality by building adaptable frameworks, contributing to automation governance, and ensuring seamless CI/CD integration. Test Automation Development: Design and maintain automation frameworks for UI, API, and integration testing across both commercial platforms and custom applications. Build modular, reusable test suites using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Karate, or similar- tailored to the architecture under test. Ensure test automation is seamlessly integrated into CI/CD pipelines for continuous validation. Own the evaluation and selection of automation frameworks and testing platforms in alignment with business needs. Manual Testing Support: Conduct manual testing for workflows or applications that are not suitable for automation due to complexity or tooling limitations. Support validation of features during discovery, UAT, or MVP phases, particularly in fast-evolving product areas. CI/CD & DevOps Integration: Integrate automation frameworks into enterprise CI/CD pipelines for all application types. Collaborate with platform teams and internal dev squads to ensure test coverage and release readiness across diverse systems. Quality Engineering & Validation: Define automation strategies for complex workflows in both packaged enterprise solutions and bespoke internal applications. Perform risk-based test design based on architectural review and business process complexity, irrespective of the application type. Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, and developers to validate user stories. Investigate, document, and triage defects, ensuring root cause analysis and timely resolution. Collaboration & Documentation: Partner with cross-functional teams across QA, development, product, and support. Maintain clear documentation of test cases, plans, results, and defect tracking logs. Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to automation best practices across projects. What's In It For You:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 8+ years of test automation experience. 6 - 8 years of hands-on experience in UI and API automation. Proficiency in automation scripting using Python, Java, or JavaScript. Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks and tools. Experience testing Salesforce, Oracle ERP/CRM, or other enterprise platforms. Familiarity with REST API testing tools. Proficient with test case management and version control tools. Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with Salesforce automation strategies. Oracle testing experience. Experience with enterprise testing tools. Exposure to performance testing tools and security testing concepts. Experience working in agile environments with strong CI/CD practices. ISTQB or equivalent certification in software testing. The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $90,000 - $148,000 (+ 10-15% bonus) in Minnesota. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
