Example of Duties Under general supervision, perform a variety of receptionist and clinical support for the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Nutrition Program. This position is responsible for screening clients for program eligibility, enrolling clients in WIC program services, answering phone calls, filing and record maintenance of client charts, scheduling appointment, data entry, referring clients to appropriate WIC staff, community resources, and Anchorage Health Department programs, obtaining anthropometric and hemoglobin measurements, and issuing WIC food benefits. Perform other related duties as assigned.The Anchorage Health Department (AHD) engages in the State of Alaska Department of Health (DOH) emergency responses and the federal Incident Command System (ICS). This includes training exercises as part of the AHD's Crisis Health Action Team (CHAT) and municipal Emergency Operations Center (EOC). In the case of a natural or manmade disaster AHD's employees may be called to engage in emergency operations responses and recovery.
