Senior Inspector
in the state of Georgia
Your work environment at EXP
EXP is currently searching for a Senior Inspector for our Alpharetta, GA office.
What a day at EXP has in store for you Document all activities on site during duration of the contract and prepare inspection reports. Oversee, document, review, and assess contractor's compliance with contractual requirements. Review construction documents and drawings to minimize issues and to reduce the potential for extra work orders during construction. Take accurate and detailed measurements of all work performed by the contractor to ensure accurate payments. Assist the Project Administrator with the review of contract submissions (critical path schedules, RFI's etc.) Assist the project Administrator with staff scheduling/coordination. Attend progress meeting and provide feedback on ongoing construction and issues. Supervision of Junior inspector. Inspection and testing of soils, concrete, steel and masonry materials for road and bridge projects. Experience with FDOT construction and specifications desired. Reading and interpreting drawings and specifications. Observing general job safety practices. Monitoring and inspecting the Work Zone Traffic Control in accordance with contract documents. The ability to work as a team a plus. Possibility of weekend and evening work as dictated by contract. What your experience looks like
Graduation from a university with a degree in civil engineering or from a four year college with a degree in civil engineering technology and three years of progressive transportation technician experience; graduation from a two year technical college with a degree in civil engineering technology and six years of progressive transportation technician experience; or graduation from high school and eight years of progressive transportation technician experience as an employee or consultant for State Highway Agency; or an equivalent combination of training and directly related experience. Passing scores on GDOT's Construction Engineering Inspection Training tests - Group 3 (Earthwork, Bridges, Incidental Items). GDOT WECS. GDOT Field Concrete Technician Certification. GSWCC Level 1a (Erosion Control). NECIT Level III Certification or ASCE Equivalent
