Windows Systems Administrator II - TS/SCI

HRL is seeking a Windows Systems Administrator to join the Special Programs IT team in Malibu, CA. The successful candidate will collaborate with other systems administrators located in Malibu and across the United States. A willingness to learn new technologies is essential. An active Top Secret/SCI clearance and experience in classified programs are required. Responsibilities include: Working with a multi-disciplined team under general supervision Providing customer support in a professional manner Troubleshooting complex incidents independently Maintaining Windows systems, including servers, workstations, and thin clients Administering software and hardware installations, file management, backups, user and device administration Resolving system failures and troubleshooting software, hardware, and network issues Performing system and user account maintenance Monitoring and optimizing system performance Documenting actions and maintaining standard operating procedures Required Skills: Experience in Windows systems administration Knowledge of system hardening standards (e.g., DISA STIG, SCAP) Understanding of VMware vSphere environments Some scripting experience (PowerShell, Batch, BASH) Knowledge of cybersecurity tools and trends (e.g., Tenable, McAfee, Splunk) Networking fundamentals (switching, routing, firewalls, load balancing) Experience with system monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios) Experience working within an accredited system Ability to work independently and in a team Current Top Secret/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph Minimum 3 years of related experience preferred Experience with Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 and Group Policy management preferred Experience with Red Hat Linux, SAN management, VDI, and Exchange Server preferred Experience with automation tools (Endpoint Configuration Manager, Satellite, Ansible, Systems Center Orchestrator) preferred Multiplatform environment experience (Windows and Linux) and High Performance Computing experience are pluses Education and Certification: High School diploma/GED with 3+ years of experience or equivalent education DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II (or higher) certification within 6 months of hire (e.g., Security+, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, CISSP) Physical and Other Requirements: Occasional physical activities including standing, climbing, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 pounds This is an on-site position with occasional evening/weekend work and up to 10% travel Must be a U.S. citizen with an active Top Secret/SCI clearance and polygraph Additional IT system monitoring and oversight due to privileged access Compensation:
