Full-Time (W2) *This is a contract-to-hire position. Sponsorship is NOT available for this role* Overview: Were on the hunt for a Vulnerability Management Engineer who comes from a
system/infrastructure background
and has made the pivot into security. Youll be supporting a mature vulnerability program, working hands-on with Rapid7, and collaborating across security and IT teams to identify, assess, and drive remediation efforts. This role is 100% onsite in Pleasant Prairie, WI, and requires formal business attire (shirt and tie MonThurs, casual Fridays).
A Bachelors degree is required. What Youll Do: Run and tune scans with Rapid7 Nexpose/InsightVM across on-prem and cloud environments. Analyze scan data, validate results, and help prioritize remediation based on risk. Work closely with IT to guide patching, config changes, or mitigation strategies. Track remediation efforts and verify completion. Support integrations and reporting in InsightVM and other tools. Document vuln mgmt processes and remediation plans. What Were Looking For: Background in system administration or infrastructure (Windows, Linux, networks). 2+ years working in vulnerability management or security engineering. Strong experience with Rapid7 Nexpose/InsightVM (or similar tools like Qualys, Nessus). Understanding of remediation practices, CVSS, and security frameworks (NIST, PCI, etc.). Strong communication skills must be comfortable working with technical and non-technical teams. Nice to Haves: Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure). Security certifications like Security+, CEH, CISSP, OSCP. Seniority level
