About the Team
Our medical department is dedicated to helping our clients improve their lives through a coordinated approach to care involving clients, their caregivers, their clinical staff, and primary care providers. We are proud to be part of a state-wide community of people who share our values, and part of a company that supports us so we can support our clients! The Certified Medical Assistants work as members of the medical/nursing team to provide care to a mentally ill population.
What You'll Do Greet patients and take their vitals, administer injections, collect health information, etc. Coordinate timely and efficient patient flow in the department Complete prior authorizations, laboratory requisitions, and other required forms Obtain patient records, answer phone calls, and relay information in a timely manner Good To Know
Position is based in Wasilla, Alaska Full-Time, non-exempt (part time will be considered) Pay Range is between $21.00 to $27.18 (depending on experience) In addition to base salary, there are opportunities to earn up to $6,600 in annual incentives each year based on individual and organizational goals with the average being $2,500 Student Loan Repayment and Tuition Assistance is available - professional growth is encouraged! AKBH offers generous benefits including two healthcare options for employees and their dependent children, 401k with immediate vesting and up to 5% match, 3% automatically contributed by AKBH 5 weeks of PTO accrued during the first year, and 8 weeks of PTO accrued annually thereafter. PTO is used for vacation, sick leave, and company observed holidays. What We Need from You
You have a High School Diploma or GED and are a licensed CMA with certification in CPR and First Aid You are proficient in EMR usage and adapt quickly to new systems.
