Cyber System Administrator/Field Service Engineer

BAE Systems is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team of professionals as a Cyber System Administrator/Field Service Engineer. The qualified candidate will be working with the field engineering team to support and maintain Compass Call delivered mission systems and mission support systems at Davis Monthan AFB, AZ. The candidate will serve as a System Administrator for systems operated in support of the Compass Call program, including for operations, maintenance, training, and testing. The candidate will have detailed knowledge and expertise of the Information systems and provide day-to-day operations support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems. This role will act as a key stakeholder in meeting program milestones by integrating technical, schedule, and resource requirements with interactions with internal and external users such as functional / government / customer entities and vendors, including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc. Responsibilities: Implement, troubleshoot, and maintain IT systems, including Windows and Linux environments, network components, and security software. Manage day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, and other IT systems. Implement and troubleshoot technical security controls, maintain network infrastructure, and perform security-related compliance documentation. Communicate with customers to define required tools and resources, investigate new procedures, and resolve IT issues. Manage IT system infrastructure, optimize system operations, and perform system capacity analysis and planning. Provide help desk and escalation support for problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution. Perform data backups, maintain system inventories, and participate in security incident response and recovery processes. Work in team environments, collaborate across multiple IT disciplines, and attend required technical and security training. Physical and Deployment Requirements: Deployment: Willing to deploy in support of the customer, CONUS and OCONUS for up to 90 consecutive days. Candidate may be required at times to rotationally support 1st, 2nd or 3rd or weekend shifts, to support site OPTEMPO. Deployment events will range from one to twelve consecutive weeks at a time and will be travel to both CONUS and OCONUS locations. OCONUS travel may include deployment into a hazardous environment. Able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds. Required Education, Experience, & Skills: Active DoD TOP SECRET security clearance with the ability to obtain/maintain a TS/SCI security clearance. Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (STEM - Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) and 2+ year's related experience or equivalent experience, training, and/or certifications. CompTIA Security+ certification or equivalent, in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II baseline certification. Experience with system patching, STIG hardening and testing of remediation efforts Experience with network infrastructure (switches and routers) Strong oral and written communications skills Team player with a proactive attitude and the ability to be productive in a dynamic/collaborative environment. Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills: Active DoD TS/SCI security clearance Experience in systems administration and cybersecurity operations and training Motivated self-starter with good problem-solving skills, judgment, and analytical capability Skilled in planning and organization of tasks, procedures, and processes Knowledge of software and hardware installations. Experience in Linux operating systems include Windows Servers and Workstations Ability to multi-task and wear multiple hats in a dynamic environment Familiarity with Active Directory and LDAP. Assist with network security Manage IP addresses, DNS Experience working with ISSO's/ISSM's preferred. Pay Information: Full-Time Salary Range: $70735 - $120250 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
