Cryptography Architect

The Oracle Security CTO group is seeking a Cryptography Architect with deep applied cryptography expertise to transform how Oracle Cloud delivers secure, performant, and future-proof services. You will play a pivotal role in driving Oracle's cryptography vision, contributing to Post-Quantum Cryptography innovations, and developing practical solutions that span HSM hardware, protocols, applications, and crypto optimization. This highly visible, org-wide position is ideal for an innovative cryptographer with the ability to influence strategy as well as design and deliver robust cryptographic mechanisms. You will work hands-on with Oracle's engineering and product teams, as well as external partners and hardware vendors, to ensure strong, efficient, and standards-compliant cryptography at every system layer. Responsibilities include: Design and implement advanced cryptographic architectures, protocols, and solutions across Oracle Cloud platforms. Drive Oracle's Post-Quantum Cryptography strategy, accelerating adoption from hardware (HSMs) to application integration. Collaborate with engineering, product, security, and hardware teams to deliver secure-by-design, highly performant cryptographic services. Lead cryptographic requirements, review vendor and partner solutions, and optimize end-to-end encryption and key management. Act as a thought leader and technical authority in applied cryptography, influencing engineering teams and Oracle-wide standards. Stay abreast of evolving crypto standards (incl. NIST PQC), attacks, and performance optimization, and drive their practical application. Foster a culture of innovation and secure engineering practice across teams, providing mentorship and deep technical guidance. Represent Oracle in external forums, contributing to standards, research, and strategic cryptography initiatives.
