Principal Or Sr. Principal Systems Engineer

Serco is seeking a Principal or Sr. Principal Systems Engineer to join our team in Orlando, FL, in support of the Air Force Modeling and Simulation Support Services (AFMS3) program. This role is key in ensuring the successful integration and compliance of simulation systems with Department of Defense (DoD) cybersecurity and engineering standards. This position involves full-spectrum systems engineering activities, from concept development to disposal, including system integration, risk management, and requirements definition. This position is contingent upon program award. In this role, you will: Conduct technical planning and analysis for complex systems across all lifecycle phases including design, development, testing, and sustainment. Perform risk, cost, and supportability assessments to ensure project success. Translate customer requirements into functional hardware and software specifications. Support functional and timeline analyses, trade studies, and interface definitions. Guide the logical and systematic conversion of operational needs into integrated system solutions. Qualifications

For Level 3 (Principal Systems Engineer): Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering or related field with 5+ years of experience; or Master's degree with 3+ years of experience; or 9+ years of relevant cybersecurity experience in lieu of a degree. For Level 4 (Sr. Principal Systems Engineer): Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field with 8+ years of experience; or Master's degree with 6+ years of experience; or 12+ years of relevant cybersecurity experience in lieu of a degree. Experience in the system development lifecycle. Active U.S. DoD Secret security clearance. To be successful in this role, you will have: Strong analytical and systems thinking abilities. Familiarity with DoD systems engineering practices and documentation standards. Ability to manage complex technical requirements and translate them into practical implementations. Additional desired experience and skills: Proficiency with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools such as Cameo or MagicDraw.
