Associate Attorney – Workers’ Compensation
Join a highly respected, well-established law firm specializing in Workers’ Compensation, serving clients across New York with a reputation for excellence, client advocacy, and professional growth. Position Overview: We are seeking motivated and experienced Associate Attorneys to join our client’s Workers’ Compensation practice. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in workers’ compensation law, excellent advocacy skills, and a passion for representing injured workers or employers in all aspects of claims and litigation. Key Responsibilities: Represent clients in workers’ compensation hearings, trials, mediations, and appeals before administrative agencies and courts. Conduct legal research, draft legal documents, pleadings, motions, and briefs. Advise clients on case status, legal rights, and obligations. Manage a caseload from inception through resolution, ensuring timely and effective case progression. Negotiate settlements and participate in pre-trial conferences. Communicate effectively with clients, medical professionals, and opposing counsel. Maintain accurate case files and documentation in compliance with firm policies. Qualifications: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Admission to practice law in New York State (required). 1-5+ years of experience in workers’ compensation law preferred; open to candidates with related litigation experience. Strong knowledge of New York workers’ compensation statutes, regulations, and procedures. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Commitment to client service and professional ethics. Compensation & Benefits: Competitive salary range: $80,000 – $200,000 (commensurate with experience). Comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401(k).
