Description :
Responsibilities include navigating through on boarding, insurance verification, financial assistance, and ongoing support as requested by the patient and their healthcare professional. Care Navigators will also be working with cross-functional team members within Patient and Specialty Services, where appropriate to ensure continuity of information being shared with the healthcare professional and patients. Ongoing case management once a patient is prescribed a therapy which includes: case documentation, sending communications and answering questions. Manage case communication between customers (health care providers, patients, etc) and colleagues (field teams: FRMs, PSL, etc.) Handles complex interactions as it pertains patient enrollment [Start Form, Copay and Adherence programs] and navigating insurance's and financial assistance Learn, utilize, and recommend enhancements of protocols to respond to omni-channel out-reach (phone, chat, fax, intelligent chatbot, SMS / text, mail, and e-mail inquiries, etc.) in a prompt and courteous manner Act as a mentor and guide through the nuances of work procedures and the variety of customer circumstances. Prepare proper documentation, and notifications; perform proper escalation, tracking, and follow-up Understand program requirements and patient journeys to ensure high level of customer service and know when to transfer individuals as needed Evolve skills to provide detailed resolution regarding program specialties over time As applicable, raise innovative ideas which will drive improved efficiency and effectiveness of customer service to Team Leads. Provide Adherence activities through patient education and treatment support Support patients on their journey starting treatment Qualifications
BA/BS degree required 3-5 years of relevant patient service support experience (such as Healthcare, Pharmaceuticals Background in Nursing, Social Work, Pharmacy or related fields preferred Strong phone and verbal communication skills - ability to follow oral and written directions Strong critical thinking skills and ability to prioritize effectively Knowledge of patient services within the healthcare industry such as insurance, reimbursement, co-pay programs and patient ssistance programs Ability to affectively navigate computer systems (i.e. CRM) with the ability to demonstrate strong performance. Experience and exposure in balancing multiple priorities Experience working with fax machines, computer software, and telephone technology Strong business acumen Experience working with patients and/or healthcare professionals An aptitude for learning and strive for continual development.
