Job Summary:
The General Superintendent plays a key leadership role, ensuring smooth field operations and overseeing the performance and development of superintendents and field labor. This role is crucial to the success of construction projects, maintaining standards in safety, quality, and efficiency, while also driving staff development and resource planning. Employee Management: Hire, train, mentor, and evaluate field staff including superintendents and laborers. Field Operations: Oversee job site construction methods, ensure adherence to quality control and enforce safety procedures. Resource Planning: Strategically allocate field personnel across projects and forecast future staffing needs. Pre-Construction Support: Contribute to schedule development, constructability reviews, and labor take-off evaluations. Qualifications :
Minimum of 20 years of experience in commercial construction. Strong proficiency in project management and scheduling tools. Competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Demonstrated leadership in managing field operations and teams on complex projects. Physical Demands & Work Environment: This position requires frequent presence on active construction sites, both indoors and outdoors, under various weather conditions. The role may involve manual labor, use of hand and power tools, lifting up to 50 pounds, and climbing scaffolding. Strong physical coordination, dexterity, and clear vision are essential. Occasional office work is required, with limited remote work flexibility. Regular communication with team members, vendors, and stakeholders is a vital part of the role.

In determining the bonus amount, Synectics will consider the cost of the test(s) for any certification relating to your current position, achieved during your employment with us. Only one Certification Bonus per calendar year may be awarded per employee. Only current, active employees will be eligible to receive this bonus. It will be awarded 90 days after the Synectics office has received documentation confirming the successful completion of the certification.
