Position Summary
The Assembly Operator is responsible for assembling a wide variety of gear boxes. These gear boxes are assembled using high quality components and following engineering designs. This position reports to the Production Supervisor.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities Perform efficiently at line speed on all assembly work stations Pull parts from inventory stock and stage assembly orders for building units Comply with all ISO 9001 assembly quality procedures Read and interpret assembly routers and drawings Able to place component parts into a storage system Capable of performing at rates set by pre-determined time standards Required following all safety rules, use of proper PPE, and report any safety concerns Perform all operations necessary to evaluate rejected speed reducers and determine the appropriate repair method Experience and Education Required
Verbal and written communication skills Ability to read various measuring equipment including scales and dial indicators Mechanical ability Technical Skills
Ability to use various hand tools, hydraulic presses, air wrenches, electric motors, air gauges, bearing pre-load press, parts washer, and arbor press Physical Requirements
Able to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects from 10-50 pounds Flexible and overtime sometimes required Requires standing continuously and walking occasionally throughout the day
