What We Need
Corpay is currently looking to hire a Cobol Developer within our Corporate Payments division. This position falls under our Corporate Payments line of business and will be based out of our office in Atlanta, GA. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining critical financial applications. You will report directly to the Senior Software Engineering Manager and collaborate regularly with engineering teams, product management, and other stakeholders.
How We Work
As a Cobol Developer, you will be expected to work out of our Atlanta, GA office location. Corpay will set you up for success by providing: Company-issued equipment Formal, hands-on training Assigned workspace in the Atlanta, GA office locaqtion Role Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the role will include:
Work independently on all tasks Design, develop, and maintain custom applications or configurations of corporate application systems and services Analyze and design application systems, including development, modification, and translation of user requirements Plan, investigate, and propose systems and application solutions Prepare workflows for writing, testing, and maintaining programs Communicate effectively with product management, project management, and other stakeholders in preparation of application design specifications Encode, test, debug, and install operating programs and procedures in coordination with Operations and Infrastructure departments Correct, test, and document changes to existing programs Conduct training and presentations for users and other stakeholders Support existing applications Lead small development teams on complex application development efforts Qualifications and Skills:
Must have:
Bachelor's Degree or Professional Degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science/Information Technology, or equivalent At least 5-7 years of working experience as a software developer and/or designer Programming Languages/Tools: COBOL, CICS, JCL, SQL, DB2 Environment: IBM Mainframe using TSO / ISPF Nice to have:
Knowledge or experience with MQ Series, EXCI, XML, SCLM, IBM Debug, MicroFocus Revolve, Tivoli Hands-on experience in object-oriented languages/frameworks (Java, C#, JEE, .NET), RDBMS (Microsoft SQL or Oracle), and web technologies (HTML/JavaScript) Experience with Integrated Development Environments (IDE) - RDz, Eclipse, or MS Visual Studio Advanced degree - MBA or MS Self-motivated and interested in working closely with the business in support of transaction processing and financial services Keen to explore software development and support in a high-volume transaction processing environment or business systems Benefits & Perks
