Beyond New Horizons, LLC (BNH) has an exciting opportunity for an Ironworker supporting TOS II, at Arnold AFB Tennessee. The selected candidate will be working as a member of an integrated team responsible for operating and maintaining the United States Air Force Test Operations and Sustainment efforts. The selected candidate for this requisition must be available to work any shift and shift determination will be made based on the priority of work at the time the selected candidate is cleared to report to work. Job Summary The successful candidate will be under general supervision performing mechanical and manual work in the testing, operating, and shop area of an engineering test facility. Job Duties: Fabricates, erects, installs and maintains metal structures, parts and assemblies Lays out, cuts, and fits metal components Assembles fabricated parts by welding, riveting, or bolting Cuts, chips, and grinds metal to smooth irregularities or rough surfaces Rig metal structures, assemblies, parts, and equipment for lifting, moving, or installing Make on-site changes or adjustments to assemblies and parts to ensure accurate fittings Works with metal working tools and equipment as required Accomplishes Rigger Machinery mover functions associated with primary ironworker activities Operates plant equipment as required Assists in tests and removes test articles after tests Accomplishes maintenance and servicing work required to place and keep test facility equipment in operation Uses a wide variety of hand and powered tools, powered equipment, measuring and testing equipment It is a condition of employment to wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) in accordance with supervisory direction and company policy Participation in functional specific safety training Perform other duties as required Basic Qualifications: Must possess High School Diploma or equivalent Four (4) years of progressive ironworker experience in layout, fabrication, installation, erection and rigging. Experience may have been as an apprentice in the trade. Ability to skillfully operate and work with the wide variety of hand and powered tools associated with trade Required to be certified welding Welding Test: 1/2" carbon steel plate (A36). SMAW (E7018) double welded Positions 2G, 3G, and 4G All test coupons will be evaluated by radiography in accordance with ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, Section IX, Welding and Brazing Qualification Must be able to successfully complete and maintain Welder Performance Qualifications in accordance with ASME Section IX Ability to read and work from blueprints, diagrams or sketches and to develop working details from field or design measurements Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance and the AEDC local area network. Current U. S.
