The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Senior Network Designer to join the team in either North Charleston, SC; Hazelwood, MO; El Segundo, CA; Seal Beach, CA; Everett, WA; Kent, WA; Renton, WA; or Mesa, AZ. Boeing Information Technology (IT) Network Infrastructure Services is currently looking for a Local Area Network (LAN) Designer to join our global team. This position will focus on creation and maintenance of network infrastructure in our manufacturing, service, and office locations around the globe. A successful candidate will understand the importance of collaboration as these positions will focus on working directly with IT Business Partners and stakeholders to implement and maintain communications and network systems enabling the business to meet their organizational and program goals. Position Responsibilities: Lead and perform the identification, analysis, and documentation of requirements for network LAN technologies and services (e.g., wireless, data, voice, video, cable, wire) based on customer goals, objectives, cost and security constraints, to lead the design process. Work collaboratively with other stakeholders (Transport, Transport, Metropolitan Area Network (MAN)/Wide Area Network (WAN), Structured Cabling, Project Manager, etc.) in focused, agile-inspired sprint teams. Create and document designs that conform to architectural and security standards to meet customer requirements, using design templates and standard implementation packages. Prepare, deploy, and coordinate installation of complex implementation packages per Boeing standards. Provide Level 3 Incident/Problem Management support in preventative, proactive and reactive maintenance to meet service restoration and network availability objectives, using network analysis and monitoring tools. Support and participate in component research to provide input for more comprehensive evaluation. Lead and perform implementation planning for tactical multi-technology insertion projects, using established project management methodologies for the purpose of controlling costs and ensuring adherence to project plan. Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
