MPH Program Coordinator

The NSU Department of Nursing and Allied Health has an immediate opening for a full time Master of Public Health Program (MPH) Coordinator. The Program Coordinator will work with the Program Director and faculty to manage NSUs MPH Program. The primary focus of this position is to provide administrative and programmatic support, including coordination with similar roles at ODU (as part of the ODU-NSU School of Public Health). This inaugural position will also help build the program for the first cohort of students (fall 2024). Application reviews will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled. Core Responsibilities: Administering the day-to-day activities of the program, including answering the phone and emails for the program Interpreting policy and developing administrative procedures Organizing and managing meetings Performing research and analysis on specific issues, as required, and independently preparing non-routine letters and/or reports Establishing efficient office / business practices and procedures Facilitating training in administrative practices and procedures Planning, implementing and coordinating special projects Preparing forms and reports Assuring accuracy of program data by creating a data repository for the program Minimum Qualifications: At least five (5) years of experience coordinating programs or completing administrative duties Additional Considerations: An undergraduate degree or higher in business or a related field Experience working in higher education Experience setting up a new office or program Training in public health Experience creating simple databases Special Instructions: You will be provided a confirmation of receipt when your application and/or rsum is submitted successfully.
