Advanced Practice Registered Nurse

Provides extensive knowledge and competence, complex decision-making, critical thinking, mentoring, and guidance. Directly manages the care of complex acutely ill patients via face-to-face, telehealth or other communication devices. The APRN is an advanced expert who provides quality care, performs patient assessments, H & Ps, and takes a thorough medical history. The APRN can order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests. Develops medical diagnoses, appropriate treatment plan, prescribes medical regimens, and educates patient/family regarding diagnosis and plan of care. May perform approved procedures and orders medications as indicated in the Delineation of Privileges. The APRN works directly with physicians, staff, administration, patients and families to ensure quality of care across the health system. The APRN is a clinical team leader that intervenes and manages deteriorating patients. The APRN integrates evidence-based practice and technological advances into their scope of practice. The APRN may participate in research initiatives, data collection, quality improvement, discharge planning, and coordination of patient care within the area of practice. The APRN participates and facilitates patient throughput, optimal patient outcomes, optimal length of stay and improved patient satisfaction. Estimated salary range for this position is $117150.22 - $155809.79 / year depending on experience. Qualifications:

Degrees: Masters. Licenses & Certifications: Basic Life Support. Advanced Practice Registered Nurse. Additional Qualifications: 3 years of relevant RN experience required. Compliant with state of Florida requirements for CEUs and licensure. DEA License required as per specialty/function. Advanced Cardiac Life Support required as per specialty/function. Nurse Practitioner National Certification required. Obtain medical staff credentialing and privileges as needed for practice location. If APRN requires hospital inpatient medical staff privileges and does not have an acute care certification, refer to BHSF Policy 701 titled Educational and Training Requirements to be Credentialed to Work in an Acute Care Setting for Advanced Practice Registered Nurse.
