Senior Wastewater Project Manager

HDR currently has an opening for a Senior Wastewater Project Manager to join our team. Primary duties include independently leading multi-disciplinary teams to develop facility planning documents, process design, detailed designs, plans, specifications, and estimates for treatment plant upgrades including nutrient removal, biosolids digestion and handling, sidestream treatment, disinfection, optimization and intensification. The candidate will also support marketing efforts, is expected to be a client manager for multiple clients and be an integral component in the expansion of our wastewater treatment portfolio in the area. As a client manager, the candidate will lead, direct, develop and market projects involving the planning, design and construction administration of water and wastewater facilities. This individual will be involved in marketing and planning of statements of qualifications, proposals and interviews. Experience with design/build is also desirable. Should possess strong oral and written communication and listening skills including good leadership and organizational skills. Position will work closely with Area Client Development Lead and Business Group Manager. Other specific responsibilities include working directly with client; conducting difficult to complex wastewater process design; establishing appropriate design methods, collecting, assimilating, and presenting data in reports, memos and public forums; equipment sizing and selection; leading production of design calculations and technical reports; and leading preparation of engineering plans and specifications for design of wastewater treatment facilities and/or conveyance/distribution systems; and permitting and regulatory compliance. The Senior Wastewater Project Manager will be responsible for independently coordinating the work of staff engineers and CADD technicians throughout the development of projects while ensuring deadlines are met and within budget. The selected candidate will have excellent writing, presentation, and speaking skills, as they will work directly with the owner. The ability to establish client relations is important because they will be involved in client development, marketing, contracting, design, and production. Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree PMP certification 10 years of related experience, including municipal wastewater planning, design, and project management. Strong technical background in process design for wastewater treatment facilities. Self-motivated with an ability to work both independently and collaboratively with project teams Strong communication and organizational skills. Experience handling multiple assignments. Experience leading teams and coordinating project details. Preference given to local candidates. Active in area municipal wastewater industry associations is a strong plus. Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering 10 years related experience A minimum 5 years project management experience Professional Engineer (PE) license MS Office and MS Project experience (Access experience would be plus) Demonstrated leadership, business development and strategic planning skills An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must HDR is our company.
