Senior Sustainable Building Analyst

Execute building performance modeling, analysis, and reporting to assess energy performance of new and existing commercial and institutional buildings. Support LEED, WELL, Zero Carbon Building Standard certifications. Identify design strategies aimed at improving energy performance, reducing carbon emissions, and optimizing indoor air quality and thermal comfort. Assist with energy related mechanical engineering, including analysis and reporting of efficient and sustainable energy related projects. Write technical reports and deliver presentations to clients and 3rd party certification organizations. Keep abreast of current and emerging legislative requirements for building energy efficiency. Perform building energy and water benchmarking analysis and validate utility consumption profiles using regression analysis and weather normalization. Assist with building energy audits, detailed feasibility studies for energy upgrades, and carbon neutral building studies. Perform on-site data collection for building projects and conduct measurement and verification (M&V) assignments. 40 hours per week, M-F (9:00 a.m.5:00 p.m.). The salary range is $97,100 - $140,800 per year. Individuals in this position may be paid a discretionary bonus. The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, & work location. Application Deadline: September 14th, 2025. Requirements: Must have a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, and 5 years of post-bachelor's, progressive related work experience; OR a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, and 3 years of related work experience. Of the required experience, must have 3 years of experience with the following: Energy-efficient system design and green building rating systems; Engineering codes and standards including IECC, ASHRAE 90.1, CalGreen, Title 24, LEED, WELL, and Zero Carbon Building Standard; Energy simulation software including IES Virtual Environment and EnergyPlus; Building energy auditing, renewable energy feasibility studies, and carbon neutral studies; HVAC and lighting systems, building control systems, and energy conservation and incentive programs. Telecommuting permitted up to 5 days a week. Travel to various locations throughout the US required up to 20%. Employer will accept any suitable combination of education, training, or experience. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
