RCO Training And Operations Specialist

The RCO Training And Operations Specialist works with the leadership team of a functional area within the Revenue Cycle Organization (RCO) to support the ongoing competency of the staff and the effectiveness of operational processes. The Specialist will upskill caregivers, provide new hire support and coordinate continuous improvement efforts. The Specialist works cross functionally to ensure patient needs are consistently met is a key aspect of this role. The RCO Training And Operations Specialist identifies and executes against opportunities for system, process and training improvements. Essential Functions: Evaluates the effectiveness, completeness and accuracy of new hire training and works with Learning and Development on changes and improvements. Creates and delivers uptraining for caregivers on new processes or more complex topics. Assists New Hires with their assimilation into their roles and the organization. Manages IT processes specific to the functional area they support interfacing with IT and operational resources. Serves as the highest level of subject matter expert for their operational area. Represents the department on project teams providing expertise and recommendations. Recommends process improvements in support of continuous improvement. Create and maintain reference material for use by caregivers in serving patients. Demonstrated experience training adult learners. Demonstrated experience with EMR software and other technologies. Demonstrated experience coordinating training schedules. Demonstrated proficiency utilizing Microsoft office tools. Demonstrated experience and/or knowledge of operations improvement methodologies. Demonstrated knowledge of evaluating the effectiveness of training programs. Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing across a diverse population at differing levels of the organization. Demonstrated effective presentation skills. Preferred Qualifications: Associate's Degree in healthcare administration, education, or related field from an accredited institution. Education is verified. Three (3) years experience in a revenue cycle role. Two (2) years experience with demonstrated success in a role training others. Physical Requirements: Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, documents, monitors, identify equipment and supplies, and be able to assess customer needs. Frequent interactions with providers, colleagues, customers, patients/clients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, needs, and issues quickly and accurately. Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use for typing, accessing needed information, etc. May have the same physical requirements as those of clinical or patient care jobs, when in care site position. For roles requiring driving: Expected to drive a vehicle which requires sitting, seeing and reading signs, traffic signals, and other vehicles.
