Post-Doctoral Research Associate of Theoretical Nuclear Physics (Non-Tenure Track)
The Department of Physics at Old Dominion University invites applicants for a Post-Doctoral Research Associate specialized in theoretical nuclear/particle physics, to begin June 10, 2025 and will be a 12-month appointment. This Post-Doctoral Research Associate will conduct research performed jointly at ODU and Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility under the supervision of Dr. Arkaitz Rodas Bilbao. The position is a two-year, restricted appointment, subject to funding availability and satisfactory progress. Job Responsibilities: Within the predetermined research scope and methodology, conduct research as agreed upon with the PI. Participate in the preparation of reports and manuscripts for publication as co-author or sole author. Engaging in self-directed professional reading, developing contacts with colleagues, and attending seminars as directed by the faculty member or department head.
