Responsible for asset management, including processing deliveries, replenishing consumables, and coordinating shipping and receiving of materials. Maintains tools, test sets, and electronic equipment such as fiber optic transmission gear, Lightwave multiplexing equipment, and AC/DC power systems. Assists in the installation, provisioning, testing, and maintenance of DS0 through OC192 services. May install and test transmission and switching equipment. Troubleshoots network equipment, replaces defective modules, tracks spares, and ensures timely repairs. Monitors and locates routes, assists in service restoration, and proactively addresses potential network issues to maintain integrity. Learns and uses all required systems and applications to perform job functions effectively. Updates installation records, logs detailed information on trouble tickets, and provides status reports to management. Performs preventive and scheduled maintenance on network and critical infrastructure, including HVAC systems, high-voltage electrical systems, and DC power plants. Supports installation, change, decommissioning, and testing of Next Generation technologies such as Edge Compute, Wavelength, Fiber Optic Transport, Ethernet, SONET, and IP network layers. May install and test customer premise equipment (CPE) and deliver end-user services. Uses industry-standard tools to locate, mark, and protect underground outside plant facilities. Performs limited AC power work and installs DC power systems, including tertiary and BDCBB components. Regularly updates inventory records, completes system transactions, logs time, and responds to information requests and escalations. Evaluates performance using provided tools and reports, andwith managerial supportidentifies areas for improvement. Performs other duties as assigned by management. Understands the basics of installation, modification, decommissioning, and testing of transport, Ethernet, SONET, and IP network layers across all available bandwidths. Equal Opportunity Employer
