Healthcare Business Analyst - Indianapolis Health
The Healthcare Business Analyst is an entry-level position that supports multiple pharmaceutical manufacturer client teams by managing client relationships, analyzing complex datasets, and turning analysis into solutions and strategies for client accounts. The Healthcare Business Analyst will collaborate with project managers, data analysts, other associate staff, editorial, creative and quality groups to ensure that work product and production processes match the highest level of quality expectations. NOTE: This position is for former Milliman Indianapolis Health interns only. In this role, you will: Utilize your analytical, written, and verbal communication skills to answer data-driven questions on key topics in the healthcare industry Use complex databases to analyze client data and summarize findings through presentations, spreadsheets, data visualizations, and other reports Develop and track progress on detailed project plans to serve as a critical communication tool Show an aptitude for and interest in developing trusted client-facing relationships Coordinate project reviews and quality assurance procedures Turn data insights into actionable solutions and strategies to solve complex problems Communicate outcomes to audiences who less familiar with the data Qualifications: Possess a working knowledge of mathematical and statistical concepts, alongside a genuine interest in growing into a client-facing consulting role Be a naturally curious self-starter and willing to learn when faced with an unfamiliar subject Be proficient in managing time to ensure successful completion of assigned tasks by deadlines while involved with multiple projects Passionate about building trusted relationships with both external clients and internal colleagues Interested in developing a diverse skill set and taking on a variety of responsibilities across projects Strong presentation, organization, time management skills Detail-oriented and capable of carrying out tasks independently as part of a cross-functional project team Required: Successfully completed an internship with Milliman's Indianapolis Health practice Bachelor's degree or higher with a concentration in Business Analytics or other business field with technical slant, Statistics, Mathematics or other relevant field Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint or other similar software Proficiency conducting data analysis using R, SAS or other quantitative software Strong presentation skills, including both oral and written communication Preferred: Knowledge of pharmaceutical industry and/or US healthcare system Experience presenting business solutions to clients or other external stakeholders Individual(s) must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for immigration support or sponsorship from Milliman now or in the future. The pharmaceutical consulting team is a group of 60+ individuals in the Indianapolis Health practice from varying backgrounds including actuaries, data analysts, pharmacists, and graphic designers. This group works primarily with pharmaceutical manufacturers and consults on their relationship with insurance companies and other stakeholders of the pharmaceutical value chain. Candidates hired into this role will be required to work in-person in the Milliman office in Indianapolis, IN on a weekly basis, but flexible work arrangements will be considered.
