Buyer Position
Job Title: Buyer Location: ONSITE in North Reading, MA Duration: 6 month contract with potential to extend/convert perm Schedule: MondayFriday, 8 AM5 PM ET (40 hours/week) Pay Rate: $25/hour Overview: As a Buyer I, you will support the Buying Team in expanding product selection, managing vendor relationships, and maintaining the product catalog. This includes launching new products, managing pricing and content, and assisting with special projects. You will also serve as a backup to the Control Buyer and may be involved in training and support activities. Key Responsibilities:
Set up new vendors and items in the system Maintain product catalog, pricing, and content (including images) Coordinate new product launches Manage vendor relationships Support special projects and act as backup to Control Buyer Collaborate in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain Management, or a related field 1+ years of experience in a high-volume, global procurement and manufacturing environment Experience with procurement for new product introduction programs Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access) Experience with ERP systems (Oracle EBS preferred; SAP also acceptable) Basic understanding of SQL and data management is a plus Top 3 Must-Have Skills:
ERP Systems Experience (Oracle EBS or SAP) Microsoft Office Suite Proficiency Supply Chain Management Knowledge Preferred Attributes:
